South Warrandyte CFA, protecting your local area
South Warrandyte Fire Brigade is one of over 1200 volunteer fire brigades involving about 58,000 volunteer firefighters, over 400 career firefighters and officers and over 700 career and support administration staff, operating under the Country Fire Authority (CFA) banner throughout Victoria.
South Warrandyte Fire Brigade has been providing services to the community since 1947. The brigade is based on the north-eastern fringe of Melbourne, and has responsibility for the suburbs of South Warrandyte, Park Orchards, North Ringwood, Warranwood and Donvale.
All labour to the brigade is provided on a volunteer basis - volunteers provide emergency services 24 hours every day, maintain the station and equipment, manage administrative and financial issues, deliver community education and liaise with other authorities. New recruits are always welcome.
